No surprises. Here is every fee you will see on a new motorcycle purchase at Speed City Motorworks.
Freight / Destination
$495Charged by Royal Enfield to ship the motorcycle from the factory to our dealership. This is a fixed fee set by the manufacturer. Every new Royal Enfield carries it regardless of where you buy.
Setup & PDI
$299Pre-delivery inspection and assembly. Every bike that leaves our shop is fully assembled, inspected, test-ridden, and ready to go. This covers the technician time to do it right.
Doc Fee
$250Documentation processing fee for title work, lien filings, and sale paperwork.
Indiana Sales Tax
7%Indiana charges 7% sales tax on the taxable purchase price, which includes MSRP, freight, setup, and the doc fee. Trade-in value and any incentives reduce your taxable base before tax is calculated.
What about used bikes?
Used motorcycles do not carry freight, setup, or doc fees in the same way. Pricing is typically straightforward: the listed price plus sales tax. Ask us for an exact out-the-door number on any specific bike.
Out-of-state buyers
If you are registering the bike outside of Indiana, you may be exempt from Indiana sales tax. We will collect your home state's tax rate instead, or provide documentation for you to handle registration in your state. Contact us to confirm before purchase.
